Deka Immobilien acquires NH Collection Barbizon Palace in Amsterdam

Deka Immobilien takes over a 5 star hotel in the Dutch capital for nearly 150 million euros.

Originally belonging to NH Hotel Group, the property will be owned by the German company at the end of January when the transaction is complete. The hotel complex includes a hotel with 268 rooms and suites, a building of apart-hotels, the chapel of Saint-Olof which will be used for events, and 26 underground parking spaces.

With this sale-leaseback operation, Deka-Immobilien Europa enters the hotel real estate market in the Netherlands. NH Hotel Group will continue to operate the property through a long term lease.

As of January 1, 2017, NH Hotel Group ranked 22nd hotel group worldwide with 379 properties for a total of more than 58,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
