A consortium acquires 144 Travelodge hotels for £500 million

According to Bloomberg, 144 properties belonging to the chain Travelodge, located in the southeast of England and in London, were acquired by a consortium including several groups such as Goldman Sachs and GoldenTree. The agreement is said to be signed for around 500 million pounds sterling.

A significant transaction for Travelodge reported by Bloomberg. For about 500 million pounds sterling, or 625 million euros, the group sold 144 properties, primarily in the southeast of England (including 11 in London and 23 properties near motorways) to different investors. The three groups that invested in this restructuring are Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), GoldenTree Asset Management LP and Capital Group LLC.

The British economy hotel chain has also recently expressed an interest in developing in Scotland.
