Universal Beach Hotels ended 2022 with the purchase of MySeaHouse Neptuno, its first asset in Playa de Palma, and plans to invest between 5 and 6 million euros in its renovation.
MySeaHouse Neptuno, located on the beachfront of Playa de Palma, is a 114-room 4-star hotel that was built in the 1950s. It will undergo a refurbishment this winter to bring the design and facilities up to the standards of the Universal Beach Hotels brand and will reopen as Universal Hotel Neptuno.
The property offers cycling facilities, an outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace, gym, sauna and various dining areas including a pool bar.
The location of the hotel and the difficulty of finding opportunities in such important tourist areas as Playa de Palma were key factors in reaching the agreement, the chain confirmed.
We are proud to include this iconic hotel in Playa de Palma, a highly sought-after area that we did not previously have in our portfolio. It fits perfectly with the standards of our chain, being located in a privileged beachfront location and being one of the most historic hotels in the area.
Yannik Erhart, CEO of Universal Beach Hotels
Universal Beach Hotels' portfolio currently includes 17 hotels in Mallorca, including Sant Elm, Colonia de Sant Jordi, S'Illot, Magaluf, Paguera, Cala Millor, Canyamel, Playa de Muro and now Playa de Palma. The chain will also add a new property in Formentera, currently under construction in the Es Pujols area, which will have 31 suites.
