The Spanish chain Sercotel will manage the Amistad hotel in Murcia, capital of the Murcia region, from October after the end of the agreement between its owners and the NH group.
The Amistad Hotel in Murcia is to change management after 28 years of operation under the NH Group brand. The iconic property will now be operated by Spanish chain Sercotel, following the termination of the agreement that the property's owners, the company Hoteles Amistad, had with the NH Group.
Sercotel plans to undertake renovation and improvement work on the property, with the aim of improving the quality of the facilities and adapting the design and layout to the brand's standards. However, the new operators will retain the same team that worked in the property.
The staff are very excited about this change, as it should give the business a new impetus, improving its prospects. [...] Murcia is an increasingly attractive place, with an offer that continues to improve and that will be reinforced by the arrival of infrastructures such as the AVE.
Felipe Saldaña, Director of the Hotel Amistad
The Amistad Hotel, located in the city centre, will open on 1 October. It will be the second property of the group in Murcia, together with the JC1, and the fourth in the region, as Sercotel also has the Alfonso X and the Carlos III in the municipality of Cartagena.
