W Marbella Resort

Socimi Millenium Hospitality Real Estate has made a down payment of €6.7 million to acquire the resort after reaching an agreement with Platinum Estates.

The Platinum Estates business group has presented in Hong Kong the future W Marbella Resort, a five-star luxury hotel to be located in the vicinity of Real Zaragoza Beach.

In order to secure this luxury resort, Millenium Hospitality Real Estate made an advance payment of 6.7 million euros last summer, leaving the final closing of the transaction to the completion of the last stages of the urban development of this plot.

The project includes 240 rooms, 140 of which will be residential, a spa with a beauty salon, a restaurant, swimming pools and five rooms with a surface area of 1,000 m² and a covered terrace for events. This is the largest hotel operator investment in the area.

The hotel project was designed by the American architectural firm Rockwell Group, which projects include JW Marriott Madrid, Nobu Barcelona and MGM Cotai in Macau.

Platinum currently owns the entire area, an area of 155,000 square metres that will be divided into four parcels when the urban development process is complete, one of which will be used for the future W luxury resort, another for a beach club and the last two will be used to develop 109 residences under the Marriott chain brand.
