acquisition Love Home Swap

By acquiring its British competitor, HomeExchange significantly increases its portfolio and expands into key markets such as the UK, the US and Australia.

With over 100,000 members in more than 130 countries, HomeExchange continues to grow through this important acquisition. This announcement follows a significant increase in membership, up 41% at the beginning of the year compared to 2022. In addition, the number of exchanges has increased by 75% compared to last year.

In addition, HomeExchange has 1 exchange finalised every two minutes on its platform, and is reporting 3.7 million exchange nights in 2022, 32% more than in the pre-Covid period.

Founded in 2009, the Love Home Swap platform, which has 10,000 members in more than 100 countries, is based on a tiered membership, unlike HomeExchange, whose community has existed since 1992 and now operates on a single membership model.

Although the offer and the organisation differ, both companies have the same ambition: "to democratise home swapping to enable everyone to travel more often and for longer, and to do so in a more sober, more local and more conscious way".

The purpose of this strategic choice is first and foremost to maximise our customers' satisfaction and to enable them to continue to exchange their homes in a reliable and clear manner. To continue to reinvent the travel industry, HomeExchange is undoubtedly the actor with the most secure and easy-to-use site and the largest community.

Paul Mulcahy, spokesperson for the parent company of Love Home Swap

At a time when conversations around soaring and often impersonal accommodation costs make travel seem like an unaffordable luxury for many, the market is ripe enough for home swapping to take off in a big way.

Emmanuel Arnaud, co-founder of HomeExchange

With HomeExchange's acquisition of the assets of Love Home Swap's UK-based parent company, the new entity becomes part of the Tukazza Group, founded by Emmanuel Arnaud and Charles-Edouard Girard, along with HomeExchange and its sister brand HomeExchange Collection. Love Home Swap will be fully integrated into the HomeExchang network by the end of the year.
