Toughen regulations or keep a close eye on development? That's the question when the subject of furnished tourist accommodation comes up. It's a hot topic in the tourism industry, and one that continues to generate controversy year after year. Now firmly established in the commercial accommodation landscape, and in travelers' subconscious, it would be hard to imagine halting its growth. Nevertheless, a more clearly defined and less permissive framework would reduce the competition often considered unfair by hospitality players. The coming years could therefore be decisive for the future of this still booming market.
