Former Shangri-La CEO Angelini to oversee Dusit's China expansion

Giovanni Angelini, the former CEO of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and the 2006 HOTELS Corporate Hotelier of the World, has been named vice chairman of Dusit International. Based in Hong Kong, Angelini will focus on Dusit’s international expansion plan, spearheading the company’s development in China region.

“This new exciting appointment stems from Dusit’s fast-track expansion plan into the global arena,” says Dusit CEO Chanin Donavanik. “With the future development of Dusit hotels and resorts in key gateway cities in Europe, India, China, Middle East, and other world’s-favorite destinations, we expect Giovanni’s role to be valuable for our rapid and sustained growth. “Giovanni has been a highly-regarded leader within the global hospitality industry.
