Airline stakeholders are well aware of their duty to make the sector greener in the years to come and with this objective in mind, a new French airline should be born in 2023 with a strong sustainable positioning.
In 2023, the world of air travel should welcome a newcomer, the French company Flying Green, which is already making a strong statement about its sustainable ambitions by presenting itself as a "premium and eco-responsible" company. Indeed, Flying Green wants to be the quietest airline and the first "zero net CO2 emission" airline thanks to the new technologies that are currently being developed.
Flying Green's strategy and positioning have received favourable feedback during presentations to the main airline stakeholders, such as Paris Airport, Airbus and the French Civil Aviation Authority.

Its president and co-founder already knows the airline industry well as Pascal Frochot is the former director of flight operations and flight crew manager at AIR LIB and BRIT AIR. He was also the Director of Economic Affairs and PN Engineering at HOP! Air France and since 2018 has held the position of Chairman of Consulting for Airlines (organisation, management...) at TCM 89.
He is accompanied by Jonhatan Machado, who is thus the CEO of Flying Green. He himself has a good knowledge of this sector as he completed an aeronautical engineering course at ESTACA and is also an airline pilot on the A320. This entrepreneur is already a business leader in several sectors such as aeronautics, energy and investments.
Aware of global warming and the involvement of air transport in this phenomenon, through the creation of this new plus green company they hope to "give a concrete impetus to the new trajectory that this mode of transport must take". As a reminder, the airline industry is responsible for nearly 3% of global CO2 emissions.
To achieve its objective of being an eco-responsible company, the carrier is relying on 5 axes:
- The use of aviation biofuel, Fliying Green is committed to using at least 5% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from the start of operations
- The fleet of latest generation aircraft, quieter and less fuel consuming
- Green operational procedures, both in flight and on the ground
- Eco-responsible partners to work with
- An environmental ethics charter signed by all employees to prove the sustainable commitment of all teams. Zero paper, 100% recyclable waste and maximum digitalisation policies are in place from the start of the company's operations.
The group assures that "the profitability and viability of this innovative business model has been confirmed by the business plan jointly with Airbus". Flying Green has also launched its fundraising and is supported by BPI France. The start of its activities is planned for the second quarter of 2023 at Orly and will be carried out with three latest generation Airbus 320 NEO aircraft.
The company's fleet will be equipped with Airbus' new "Airspace" concept cabins with a business class and Wi-Fi access on board. The customer experience is also at the heart of the company's priorities as it wishes to highlight "French excellence".
