But the opening of the Crowne Plaza Madinah represents tits first Crowne Plaza in the Holy City of Madinah.The hotel is located at the center of Madinah, steps away from Masjid Nabawi, one of the largest mosques in the world and second holiest site in Islam. This makes the hotel ideal for religious travelers, but also for business and leisure guests.The Crowne Plaza Madinah offers 506 rooms and suites. As it is expected to be an events hub, the hotel is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a multi-functional business center, five meeting rooms, and free internet access throughout the hotel.IHG's Saudi Arabian portfolio currently consists of 23 hotels with by 5 600 rooms. With the addition of the Crowne Plaza Madinah, IHG's network in Madinah and Makkah consists of 4 hotels, including the InterContinental Dar Al Iman, InterContinental Dar Al Hijra, and InterContinental Dar Al Tawhid.
