Rezidor is profitable again in Q4

The Rezidor group reported a profit of 7.3 million euro in the fourth quarter of the 2012/2013 fiscal year, as compared to a 13.5 million euro loss a year ago. Likewise, profit for the entire year was positive at 23.2 million euro, as compared to a loss of 17 million euro in 2012.In the fourth quarter of 2013, Rezidor saw its like-for-like Revenue per available room increase by 5.4%. This RevPAR increase was primarily driven by improvements in ADR, combined with OR growth. Despite the RevPAR growth, the strengthening of the Euro and the exit of nine leased hotels at the end of 2012 meant that revenue was slightly down compared to last year.Over the 2012/2013 fiscal year, Rezidor's like-for-like revenue increased by 3.2%. The group also made gains in market share. As far as the Route 2015 initiative, significant margin improvements were generated. The EBITDA margin grew by 3.3 points to 8.8% in 2013.
