Open Table, an online restaurant booking service, is shifting under the property of the Group Priceline, which is also owned by the group Booking.com, for a total of 2.6 billion dollars.

Priceline Group announced its takeover of the online restaurant booking firm Open Table, one of the major players in the United States: each month, more than 15 million dinners at 31,000 restaurants are booked through Open Table. The owner of the brand Booking.com announced the takeover of this company for 2.6 billion dollars; the transaction should be technically complete in the 3rd quarter this year.

Priceline Group already has several brands specialized in tourism and leisure reservations via Internet, including Booking, Priceline, Kayak, Agoda and Rentalcars.
