
Preferred Hotel Group announced significant gains in the 2013 fiscal year, both financially and geographically. The group announced a revenue figure of 834 million dollars, a 14% increase over revenue in 2012. Member properties experienced a 17% increase in bookings, 20% in room nights, and 6% in ADR, compared to 2012.The group's portfolio gained 126 properties in 2013. This expansion included market entries in Vietnam and Myanmar, as well as in important growth cities such as St. Petersburg. Development has led to increased visibility for all members, even resulting in re-brandings from well-known chains this year. To help guide the expanding footprint, the group created 5 new positions in 2013, including, Regional Director for Global Sales & Development for China, Regional Director for Brazil and Argentina, and Director of Global Sales & Marketing for the Middle East."I am proud that we successfully executed on every initiative we set out to accomplish in 2013, from the expansion of our global footprint to the introduction of ground-breaking programs", says President Lindsey Ueberroth.
