Mint Hotels are Acquired by Blackstone

Blackstone will convert the eight-hotel chain into DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands.

They purchased these hotels for £600 million (US$947 million).Deutsche Bank AG is financing a part of the acquisition with a £300 million (US$472 million) loan and Duet Real Estate Finance with a £80 million (US$126 million).All the hotels are located in the UK, except one in Amsterdam. Mint Hotels used to be known as City Inn from its creation in 1995 until last year.
