
For the 12 months ending on December 31st, IHG posts an overall optimstic year, celebrating its tenth year as a standalone company with good underlying growth in revenues and profits. The group also grew in terms of having opened 237 hotels, and added a further 444 properties to its pipeline.Total gross revenue from hotels in the group's system was up 2% year-onyear, at $21.6 billion. This was achieved through a global RevPAR growth of 3.8%, with ADR up 1.8% year-on-year, and occupancy rate 1.3 points. Geographically, this was led by Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
