Ducasse Paris announces plans to sell its subsidiary Les Collectionneurs to XA Holding. After this transaction, Xavier Alberti, Chief Executive Officer, will become the majority shareholder of the group. Ducasse Paris will remain a major shareholder with 25% of the shares.
Thanks to his expertise in independent networks, Xavier Alberti has enabled the company to develop a platform of services for restaurants and hotels. In addition, he has changed governance to allow restaurateurs and hoteliers to participate. This transformation was completed at the end of 2017 when Châteaux & Hôtels Collection became the Collectionneurs (585 addresses in 17 countries).
Alain Ducasse, President of Ducasse Paris, explains: "Transmission is the core of my business and the DNA of Ducasse Paris. I have always wanted to support, educate and showcase talents in the kitchen or the restaurant that I have been able to meet at my addresses. This divestment project is part of the same desire.
The in-depth transformation work carried out by Xavier since 2013 has convinced me of the relevance of passing Les Collectionneurs on to him. I have complete confidence in his judgment and commitment to continue growing the company and carrying the values I defend. This is why Ducasse Paris will remain a key shareholder and all my addresses in Europe will continue to be part of Les Collectionneurs."
Xavier Alberti, General Manager of Les Collectionneurs, says: "The state of mind we share with Alain Ducasse and the restaurateurs and hoteliers who make up Les Collectionneurs is an independent entrepreneurial one.
[…] In 2017, when we became Les Collectionneurs, we noticed that, before being places to stay and eat, we are a community of restaurateurs, hoteliers and travellers, who share a taste for travel and the same values: curiosity, high standards and generosity.
Today, this transmission is part of the same dynamic and is based on the same will: to continue to carry out ambitious projects for Les Collectionneurs thanks to our singular reading of the sector."
The proposed sale and transfer of control will be effective after presentation and validation by the Shareholders' Meeting in July 2018. The terms of the proposed divestiture will not be disclosed.
