Dreamlines becomes one of the most important OTAs in the cruise sector.
The tour operator and OTA Dreamlines, based in Germany, has just acquired Cruise1st, a cruise specialist. This marks Dreamlines' entry into the British cruise market. However, the value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Dreamlines would be the world's fastest growing online cruise portal with activities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Italy, Russia, Brazil and the United States. As for Cruise1st, it is one of the leading cruise specialists in the UK with operations in Australia and Singapore.

Daniel Townsley, chief executive of Cruise 1st, said: "The synergies between Cruise 1st and Dreamlines were too great to overlook. Combining a hugely successful global online travel agency with our own proficiency and database of customers in the UK, Australia and Singapore will drive higher sales volumes and margins and deliver huge growth for the business."

The group expects a global GMV of more than 400 million Euros and will be the largest cruise OTA outside the US market.
