Carlson Rezidor is continuing expanding its network. Over the third quarter of 2013, the group signed contracts to develop eight new establishments internationally, representing about 1,400 rooms. It thus has a current portfolio of about 430 establishments in operation and under development, for a total of more than 95,000 rooms in 70 countries.During this period, the strengthening of the network in Africa and the Middle East was highlighted. Carlson Rezidor announced the development of five establishments in Saudi Arabia, via its Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson brands. The group also signed an agreement to open its first hotel in Algeria, the Radisson Blu Algiers with 137 rooms, in 2015. Other priority countries for hotel development are Russia, Niger, and Turkey.During the third quarter of the year, a new hotel saw daylight in Tunisia, the Radisson Blu Resort & Thalasso Hammamet with 274 rooms and a 1,400-square-meter spa.
