Maranatha

The Commercial Court of Marseille has decided and announced its decision concerning the takeover of Maranatha (52 hotels)

AccorHotels and Colony Capital will take over the asset management company in the high-end hotel sector. Maranatha was placed in receivership on September 27, 2017 and employed 1,300 people at that time. Since then it saw several actors take an interest in it, and the court's role was to decide between the various proposals for its takeover.

AccorHotels will become the operator of Maranatha properties, which ranked 12th largest hotel group in France by Hospitality ON on January 1, 2018, with 3,153 rooms and 55 hotels.  AccorHotels thus ensures its domination of the French market by having almost 3 times more rooms than the next largest Jin Jiang Louvre Hotels Group.
