Strategy

The French giant AccorHotels has reportedly decided not to take over the Maranatha group.

"Complex" and "of low priority": according to Les Echos, this is AccorHotels' view of the Maranatha case. The latter had been placed in receivership last autumn.

There will therefore be one absent at the hearing scheduled for Wednesday 30 May at Marseille Commercial Court, where the official receiver in charge of the case will hear the candidates taking over the group.

Colony NorthStar, an American investment firm with which AccorHotels was associated, will be present. It will have until 8 June to submit its final offer, as will the twenty or so potential buyers, including Gilles Douillard, a hotel and catering professional, and Tikehau Capital's group, Attestor Capital and Loxi Hospitality, Davidson Kempner with Naos Hôtel and Higate, Honotel with Amundi and Caisse des Dépôts, Paris Inn and 123 Investment.
