With 266 days to go, the tourism industry is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to welcome the Olympic (26 July to 11 August 2024) and Paralympic (28 August to 8 September 2024) Games to its cities. As far as hoteliers are concerned, bookings are already pouring in and prices are soaring, both in Paris and the Île-de-France region and in the provinces. Some cities stand out more than others, and we'll see what trends emerge and whether they are uniform.
At 16 October, the top four cities and départements in the rankings were, in descending order of reservation rate, Châteauroux (60.0%), Hauts-de-Seine (53.2%), Paris (52.0%), and Seine-Saint-Denis (51.4%). By contrast, the bottom four positions are occupied by Saint-Etienne (1.6%), Lyon (12.4%)...
