Marriott International announced the opening of the two addresses, further strenghtening the group's presence in Latin America on the eve of the Summer Olympics hosted by the Brazilian city.
The brand portfolio has been registering steady growth in Latin America, following recent openings in Guadalajara and Queretaro, in Mexico. Other AC Hotels-branded properties should welcome their first guests this year in Mexico City, Panama City, and Santiago de Chile. As of January 2016, following the merger between Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, the newly-formed entity ranked as the first hotel group worldwide in terms of groups.
