Before official attendance figures are reported, Corinne Ménégaux, director of Equip'Hôtel, draws up a fairly satisfactory overview of this year's edition that ended November 20, with increased international participation and a generally optimistic feeling.
The second immediate observation is that of a fairly optimistic climate within an economic context that remains difficult for most sectors. "Our "Smile" operation probably has something to do with it, but beyond that I truly came across exhibitors with a smile as well as satisfied visitors as I walked through, testifying to the relatively good health of our industry." The renewal of investments in hotels and restaurants reflects an optimistic climate for the years to come.
And yet things remain that can be improved that the team is already working on for 2016. "We are convinced of the importance of offering a transversal salon, where a hotel or restaurant operator can literally shop for all aspects of operations. We have already been successful in the Equipment, Decoration, Technology divisions... as well as Food Products with Transgourmet. Now we need to improve in the area of Beverages which are curiously missing from the salon."
Corinne Ménégaux also reveals "Scoop" for the 2016 edition, the presentation of a veritable "Equip'Hotel resort", with studios in the different halls. It will be built on several levels with access to the floors in hall 7, to have an offer gathered within a futurist vision of the hotel business.
