Eindhoven (Ville)

The urban area of Eindhoven is home to high-tech companies, and the city benefits from its geographic location near other Dutch and European gateway cities.

Eindhoven hosts the second biggest airport in the country after Amsterdam and before Rotterdam. Its traffic has been booming since the opening of the second terminal in June 2013. The number of passengers reached 4.7 million in 2016, a 9.3% increase (following +10.3% the previous year). In 2012, passenger traffic at the airport stood at 3 million per year.

Eindhoven’s hotel chain portfolio is deployed primarily on the midscale segment and remains stable as of January 1, 2017 with 1,869 rooms.
