April 2011 - Solidarity and sharing are at the heart of the values that the Paul Bocuse Institute would like to teach to its students. Therefore, Lucas, young graduate, signed up to help to help victims from the earthquake in Haiti for six months. While representing his own and his school’s human compassion, Lucas helped train amateur and professional chefs the knowledge he picked up during studying culinary art and restaurant management. On 17 March 2010, a charity dinner and show prepared and served by 30 students was organized at the Paul Bocuse Institute to raise funds for the World Food Programme, to help the Haitian people. This initiative was also lead by Lucas, 2009 graduate of the Paul Bocuse Institute, who gave six months of his life for a worthy cause. By leaving to Haiti on a humanitarian mission, he wants to accompany their youth towards an education in the culinary arts.Enrolled in the “Le Coeur et La Toque” programme at the Paul Bocuse institute, Lucas’ trip will also allow him to share his knowledge and know-how to young Haitians.Enrolled in the “Le Coeur et La Toque” programme at the Paul Bocuse institute, Lucas’ trip will also allow him to share his knowledge and know-how to young Haitians.
