On December 7 in Lyons, Alain Sebban, Chairman and founder of the Vatel Group and Robert Y. Minassian, Rector of the Armenian Institute of Tourism, signed the opening protocol agreement for the 26th Vatel School in Erevan. This binding agreement follows the first protocol that was signed with the support of the Armenian Ministers of Economy and Education during the Eurhodip Conference on July 13, 2010 in Saragossa, Spain, and a contract with the Erevan Golden Tulip Hotel, a beautiful 4 star 104 room hotel. Henri Magne, the Vatel Group International Development Manager had visited Armenia in October, 2010. During his trip, Henri Magne was able to see for himself that the installations as well as the mind-set of the Armenian Institute of Tourism complied with Vatel teaching principles and that the Golden Tulip Hotel presented excellent conditions to host students in practical application activities. He was also able to obtain support of the Armenian Ministers of Economy and Education for this project to launch a new Vatel School. Vatel Erevan, as other Vatel Schools, will be proposing both the Bachelor's and Master's Degree in International Hotel Management when it opens in 2011. Students will be able to obtain both the French State certified Vatel degree as well as the national Armenian degree.
