Summary _ Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) has two primary campuses in Australia, Leura in the Blue Mountains and Sydney (CBD), as well as, five international campuses with 1,200 students enrolled. BMIHMS is a member of the Laureate network which provides a superior university experience 700,000 students worldwide through its international network._ In the last twelve months BMIHMS has invested more than $1 million to implement an ambitious innovation plan around Teaching and Learning improvements: Teaching and Learning Technology Support Program (TLTSP). The objective is to ensure that BMIHMS is embracing leading technology in Teaching and Learning to maximise the learning outcomes for students and to ensure our graduates are familiar with all major forms of technology-based communications that the hospitality industry requires. The Program has three main objectives: -* Maximise learning outcomes for BMIHMS students -* Create a platform that ensures consistency of course delivery and quality assurance -* Graduates familiar with all major forms of technology-based communications_ The program was not designed for e-learning but rather as a complement to on-site class learning which is the trademark of BMIHMS. The Teaching and Learning Technology Support Program represents an integrated total technology solution to achieve excellence: -* High speed internet -* e-podiums, state-of-the-art electronic-podiums with high functionality for lecturers vVidyo, video conferencing capability, national and international application -* SharePoint, high capability information database and content management system (CMS) -* Paradigm, single remote access CMS for staff to record all student management information -* Custom designed technology-based learning facilities for staff and students_ Most importantly the return on investment (ROI) has been outstanding, three key performance indicators (KPIs) rate student, lecturer and alumni satisfaction at 93%, 95% and 99% respectively.
