Vatel awarded Best Hospitality School at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards 2016

The Vatel international hotel and management school was awarded Best Hotel School at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards Ceremony 2016, held at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand last November 14.

At the 17th edition of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards, the hospitality management school Vatel received the award for Best Hotel Management School. This prize was presented to the President and Founder of the group Alain Sebban by Maria Autret, Talent Management Director at AccorHotels.

The final selection was made during the ceremony with a vote by the audience, consisting of more than 800 hotel industry professionals. Finalists were initially selected by the editorial staff of Hospitality ON from data collected through a qualitative study carried out for its special 'Hospitality Schools' edition (see) according to the ranking of each institution for the different criteria and categories taking into consideration.

For more than 35 years, the Vatel International Hospitality and Management School has trained hotel and tourism professionals for the hospitality and tourism industries of tomorrow. Today there are 35 Vatel hotel schools worldwide, offering contents with an international focus to 7,000 students of 50 nationalities. The programs are taught in several languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arab). The professional experience is an integral part of these programs  and the international exchanges are encouraged through the Marco Polo program. (see the dossier)





Two other properties were finalists: Oxford Brookes University, whose history dates to 1865. Today its students benefit from contact with some of the most important players in the sector and hotel groups such as Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Students are surrounded by academic staff and a community of students that are passionate about the hotel sector. (read the dossier)

The third finalist was Hotel School the Hague, a Dutch school created in 1929. It has since imposed itself as the international hotel school specialized in hotel management. It welcomes 2,000 students on its two campuses in The Hague and Amsterdam. Classes are taught in English by hotel professionals. The classes contents are adapted to the changing demand on the sector and aim to valorize the different capacities of its students; combining theory and practice, teamwork and individual challenges.
