Dublin: desperately seeking a recovery

As the crisis deals a hard blow to Ireland, Dublin’s hotel industry is faring poorly. The market suffers from saturation leading to increasingly fierce competition and strong tension regarding pricing. Nonetheless, the year was marked by the realization of important projects, including a new congress center and a second terminal at the airport. Dublin’s tourism industry thus hopes that the worst is over and 2011 will bring a recovery.
