Dorchester Collection Appoints John Scanlon Hotel Manager for The Dorchester in London

The Dorchester, Dorchester Collection's London hotel has appointed John Scanlon as hotel manager effective from March 1, 2012.

Scanlon moves from his most recent position as director of revenue for parent company Dorchester Collection which he has held since 2008. Prior to this, between 1991 and 2005 Scanlon progressed through The Lanesborough from night manager to reservations manager, then front of house manager, until finally rooms division manager and deputy to the managing director. Previous experience includes positions at Sheraton Skyline, Heathrow Airport and Trusthouse Forte Hotels across England.Irish born, Scanlon is a strategic and creative thinker with a proven track record for creating and implementing bespoke working practices to improve high quality guest care, for which he is passionate. Reporting to general manager and regional director UK Roland Fasel, Scanlon will oversee all hotel operations at The Dorchester.
