The Eternal City has seen a flow of visitors with a high buying power, which has greatly benefited its luxury hotels. Rome manages to mix the tourist clientele attracted to the unique atmosphere of the city and the business clientele who come for seminars and conferences. The Italian capital has surmounted the shock of September 11th and the return of American clients is attracting hotel groups that are not yet present in the city.
