One of the industry’s most opaque distribution channels is lifting the veil slightly, making it easier for consumers to place bids for hotel guestrooms.Priceline is now providing hotel bid alerts, notifying consumers about winning bids made by other customers. The alerts show the city, neighborhood, bid amount, estimated percentage savings and when the bid was made.
