Google Maps

From 11 June 2018, the use of Google Maps’ maps will be subject to a charge.

Google has announced a major change in its Google Maps mapping offer: the paid use of its maps. Google initially launched this free service in 2005. A site could integrate and customize Google Maps by copying and pasting the HTML code.

This new pricing system will apply in particular to hoteliers, tour operators, travel agencies and tourism professionals who use Google Maps on their websites or applications.

As of June 11, 2018, the free quota will be 28,000 loads per month, less than 1,000 per day. Use beyond that will now be charged $7 per 1,000 views, knowing that Google offers a flat rate of $200 per month.

Individual users of the application will continue to be able to consult it, free of charge,to organize travel, learn about traffic and discover their geolocation.
