Gillian Tans

Ctrip announced that Booking.com CEO Gillian Tans will take an observer seat on the Chinese company’s board.

In the highly competitive online travel market, where partners routinely battle for customers, Ctrip made known its will to strengthen its ties with Booking.com. Jane Jie Sun, Ctrip’s CEO (China's largest online travel company) and Gillian Tans, Booking.com’s CEO (the largest brand within Booking Holdings), will now deliberate together around the table at Ctrip board meetings.

This comes after a partnership announced between Ctrip, and another Booking Holdings business, Open,Table, the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations, which will link its North American restaurants to Ctrip users.
