The year 2022 is all about growth for the Wyndham Group, which plans to open new properties and strengthen some of its brands.
Wyndham, which already has more than 9,000 hotels in nearly 95 countries, aims to expand its portfolio in the Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA) regions. The group is announcing a significant number of new openings for the new year.
In Europe, the group is inaugurating its first address in Poland this year, the Wyndham Wroclaw Old Town. This upscale hotel, scheduled to open in February, features 205 rooms. Its central location in the city is a real advantage, due to its proximity to famous sites and monuments.
Germany is home to 2 new properties of the group, the Wyndham Garden Munich Messe has just opened its doors. Located in the city's business district, the hotel has 267 rooms. It is the group's 12th hotel to open in the city of Munich. And in June, the city of Koblenz will welcome a Super 8 property. This will be the 10th Super 8 hotel to be opened in Koblenz, in collaboration with GS Star.
In April, Wyndham will open its TRYP brand for the first time in Greece, in the city of Corfu. The TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia will offer 48 rooms and lush gardens. And Wyndham's eponymous brand will make its debut in Cyprus shortly with the upscale Wyndham Nicosia. The property is designed for both leisure and business travellers with its conference facilities.
In Eurasia, the group is continuing its expansion in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Georgia, notably with the highly anticipated Grigoleti Beach Resort. A new construction which will be the first Trademark Hotel Collection in this market.
In the Middle East, Qatar will soon welcome the 278-room Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach. Two other properties are scheduled to open this year in Saudi Arabia.
Finally, Wyndham is looking to expand its portfolio with new properties under the Ramada, Ramada Encore and Days Inn by Wyndham brands. Several hotels will open in Turkey, including in the cities of Istanbul, Rize and Elbistan. The brands will also expand their presence in India with the opening of the Ramada by Wyndham Gangtok Hotel & Golden Casino and the 300-room Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Mumbai Saha.
