Spark by Hilton debuts in Vienna

In a strategic move to meet the growing demand for premium economy accommodations, Hilton has announced the launch of two new hotels under its Spark by Hilton brand in Vienna, Austria.

Key developments

Spark by Hilton has officially entered the Austrian market with two properties: Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt (198 rooms) and Spark by Hilton Vienna Messe Prater (243 rooms). These hotels are strategically located to cater to both business and leisure travelers. The Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt is situated in Vienna’s commercial hub, while Spark by Hilton Vienna Messe Prater is conveniently near the main Vienna Exhibition Hall and the Danube River.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton, said, “We’re thrilled to bring the Spark by Hilton brand to Vienna, meeting demand for premium economy accommodation in this highly popular destination for both business and leisure travellers. Our Spark by Hilton properties are ideal for guests looking to maximise the value of their travel budget, while experiencing the reliable and friendly service our hotels are known for across the globe. This collaboration with Verkehrsbuero Hospitality marks a key milestone for Spark by Hilton as the momentum behind the brand continues, with nearly 250 Spark hotels already trading or under development worldwide following its launch just 18 months ago.”

“We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with Hilton to bring new hotels to travellers. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for us, and to be part of the team bringing Spark by Hilton to Austria is incredibly exciting for us all, and we are eager to bring our shared vision to life upon opening both hotels.” - Martin Winkler, CEO at Verkehrsbuero
