TUI commits to building 10 new hotels in Greece

The European tour-operating giant, which owns part of its hotels, generated more than 2 million stays this year in Greece, one of the leading destinations. It announced that it wished to significantly develop his capacities.

In a recent meeting with Greece's Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, the head of the German tour-operator, Peter Long, announced that he wished to lengthen the summer season with more charters and direct flights to the destination that was one of the great successes of the summer. At the end of September, TUI surpassed the threshold of 2 million clients from all over Europe whom it accommodated in one of the 2,800 hotels with which it has a commercial partnership. TUI is also a shareholder in several chains including Grecotel and Atlantica, and it promises to co-finance the creation of at least ten new units for the next seasons.
