The hotel group announced the opening of three properties at the destination for the year 2015, on the site of the former Metropolitan Hotel Dubai.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts is breathing new life into the site of the former Metropolitan Hotel Dubai. The hotel group announced the development of three new properties at this location that are scheduled to open in 2015.
Developed by Habtoor and baptized Habtoor Palace, the complex will include the hotels Westin Dubai with 966 rooms, St Regis Dubai with 241 rooms and W Hotel Dubai with 384 rooms. It will also have a 1,100 seat theater, a shopping center, an athletic center, restaurants and other entertainment possibilities. The entire complex should be complete in 2017.
Parallel to this project, Starwood Hotels & Resorts also plans the opening of a hotel Sheraton at the destination in September 2014.
