
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts opens a new 302-room hotel in China's largest northern port city and bustling business destination, Tianjin.
Tianjin, a bustling business destination in the North-East of China, is welcoming its first Shangri-La hotel. The 302-rooms Shangri-La Hotel Tianjin is located within the Tianjin Kerry Centre, a mixed-use complex, and provides 1,965-square-metre meetings amenities for conferences of up to 1,800 people.
Furthermore, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts has announced a substantial development pipeline with upcoming projects in mainland China, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Qatar, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
As of January 1, 2014, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts was the 58th World hotel chain by number of rooms, with 28,318 rooms in 65 units according to the world rankings of MKG Hospitality.
