Ritz-Carlton to open new hotel in Kazakhstan

The Ritz-Carlton Astana

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Verny Capital, a Kazakhstan-based private investment group, have inked a deal for the development of The Ritz-Carlton, Astana, in Kazakhstan.

Developed by Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Verny Capital, a Kazakhstan-based private investment group, the new hotel is the group's second hotel in Kazakhstan. The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty previously opened in 2013.

It will be located in the Talan Towers project, which is strategically located in the heart of the Left Bank. The project encompasses retail space, offices and luxury apartments. The new hotel will feature 157 guest rooms and suites, a sky bar with panoramic city views, as well as a restaurant, cigar bar and a ballroom for social events and conferences.

Ritz-Carlton president and COO Herve Humler said: "We are delighted to work once again with our partners Verny Capital and to bring The Ritz-Carlton's renowned levels of hospitality to the capital city of Kazakhstan."
