
Carlson Rezidor's Radisson Red keeps expanding in the US market: the third American address of the lifestyle brand is slated to open close to Miami airport in 2018.
Carlson Rezidor's lifestyle brand was conceived to meet the expectations of "the millennial mindset". The brand "offers a new guest experience fueled by personal interaction and personal choice. The brand currently has 16 hotels in development across the globe. In the United States, two other properties are slated to open in Minneapolis (late 2016) and Portland (2018). Carlson Rezidor plans to open 60 Radisson Red hotels globally by 2020. Chinese group HNA recently acquired the operator: the newly-formed group ranked as the 11th hotel operator worldwide in terms of rooms as of January 2016. According to data published by Hospitality ON, HNA Group and Carlson Rezidor operate 1,145 hotels totalling 182,521 rooms.
