Qatar Holding is interested in acquiring additional shares in AccorHotels

Qatar Holding LLC (controlled by Qatar Investment Authority) has announced that it intends to acquire more shares in AccorHotels and does not intend to request additional seats on the Board of Directors.

Qatar Holding LLC is increasingly active in the capital of AccorHotels. On September 10 of this year, the company controlled by the Qatar Investment Authority held 29,505,060 AccorHotels shares representing 59,010,120 voting rights, corresponding to 10.14% of the capital and 15.96% of the voting rights in this company.

Qatar Holding LLC has declared its intentions for the next 6 months: to acquire more shares, protect its interests and support the strategy implemented in the group.

These movements can be compared with those of other foreign shareholders this year. Thus, in May, the Chinese group Jin Jiang increased its stake in AccorHotels to 12.32% and Huazhu Hotels Group (also known as China Lodging Group) became a 4.5% shareholder in the French group for 489 million euros.
