
The Hong Kong hotel group announced plans to open 190-Room Hotel in London by 2021.
Designed by British-based Hopkins Architects, the new building will replace the existing offices at the site.The Peninsula London will have shops, bars, restaurants and a ballroom. A grand pedestrian entrance on Grosvenor Place will be accessed from a colonnade linking to an internal 'Palazzo-style' Courtyard, approximately 30 x 30 metres, allowing vehicle access. The proposed building also includes 24-28 residential apartments with a separate leisure and spa facility, reception and entrance on Halkin Street.

It will enhance the West End's reputation as one of the world's foremost places to visit and a driving force for the UK economy."
The Peninsula operates nine award winning hotels located in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Beijing, New York, Chicago, Beverly Hills, Bangkok and Manila.
