Paris: the building permit for the Tour Triangle has finally been applied for

The real estate developer Unibail-Rodamco has applied for a building permit for the Tour Triangle 2. Standing 180 meters tall, the tower will include a hotel, the pyramid will certainly be the most influential architectural project in the years to come in the French capital.

The real estate group is currently respecting the timetable it set after the approval it received from the Conseil de Paris last June 30. The latter announced its approval of this project presented by Unibail-Rodamco by a narrow majority, foreseeing with respect to the first version, reduced office spaces and a more diverse use of surfaces. In a building designed by the architecture studio Herzog & de Meuron, Tour Triangle 2 will be located at the Exhibitions center at Porte de Versailles, in Paris's 15th district. According to the current calendar, construction should begin in early 2017, to be completed by 2020.

According to this new version of this project, three quarters of the Tower will consist of offices. The project also includes a health center, co-working spaces, a panoramic restaurant, a sky bar, 550m² of cultural spaces, as well as a conference center with an auditorium able to accommodate 180. Paris authorities succeeded in integrating a hotel in the project. this four-star property will occupy the 12th to 17th floors in the tower, producing a "synergy with the convention and trade fair activities at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center". According to the project presented by Unibail-Rodamco, this hotel will offer a capacity of 120 rooms.
