The acquisition of the historic Villa Camerata is part of the real estate group's strategy to develop new assets in flagship destinations.
The former youth hostel, located near the heart of Florence, will be transformed into an urban luxury resort while preserving the rich character of the historic building dating back to 1427. The property, which is scheduled to open in 2023, will offer dining options as well as wellness facilities.
The group has recently demonstrated its expertise in the hotel sector with ambitious projects in Europe: the Holland Casino, Wellness & Fitness Centre, a 476-key mixed-use facility; the Kimpton Hotel, a 225-key Residential Building built in the former Rotterdam Post Office (POST); the lifestyle hotel W Rome with 159 keys and Les Mercuriales development in Paris. As part of this project, the group has just signed a Sheraton Hotels and Resorts hotel (570 keys) and a Moxy Hotel (272 keys).
