Accor’s luxury brand announced the opening of the emblematic Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire, in Ivory Coast.
Sofitel unveils its new West African jewel. Eighteen months after signing a management contract in July 2012, the Accor Group's luxury brand opens the doors of its Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, in Ivory Coast.
The five star property was subject to a period of adaptation and renovations to meet brand standards, and now offers 209 rooms, including two presidential suites and 40 junior suites, in the chic district of Cocody, in Abidjan. The hotel also has two restaurants and four conference rooms. This prestigious property of Ivory Coast was built by the architect Moshe Mayer in 1963 and renovated in 2011.
A second phase of renovation works is scheduled for the beginning of 2015 to create 217 rooms, including 84 suites and 31 apartments, a Club Millésime, a 1,200 square meter So SPA, two restaurants and a salon bar, a cinema, nine meeting rooms, a business center, ten boutiques and a casino.
