A new hotel W to open soon in Los Angeles

Starwood Hotels & Resorts plans to grow the presence of its brand W in Los Angeles. The W Los Angeles Downtown should open its doors in 2019.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has partnered with Shenzhen Hazens Real Estate Group to develop a new property in Los Angeles. The two partners thus plan to build the W Los Angeles Downtown, for an opening slated for 2019.

The hotel will be located in the business district of this city in California. It will be part of a vaster development project consisting of three buildings including 650 condominiums, shops and restaurants. The W Los Angeles Downtown will have 250 rooms, a spa, spaces to organize meetings and conventions and a F&B offer.

With this new property, the lifestyle brand of the group Starwood Hotels & Resorts will have a network of three hotels Los Angeles, with the W Hollywood and the W Los Angeles West Beverly Hills. As of January 1, 2015, Starwood Hotels & Resorts was the seventh hotel group worldwide in terms of number of rooms with 346,599 units in 1,207 properties according to MKG Hospitality, consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis. (Read our report).
