Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca

With one Moroccan property already in Tangier, Mövenpick announced its arrival in the most populated city in the Kingdom with the Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca. A third property is under development in Marrakech.

Mövenpick concluded the takeover of the Husa Casablanca Plaza, which will become the group's third property open or in the pipeline in Morocco. This 5-star hotel, which was renovated in 2011, was renamed the Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca, and has 184 rooms and suites.

This new Moroccan property follows the one in Tangier that opened in 2001, and precedes the opening of the Mövenpick Hotel Marrakech that will be inaugurated in 2015.

Regarding this growth, Alan O'Dea, Senior Vice President Africa at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts declared: "A dynamic and prosperous country, Morocco is a growing leisure and business destination, which encourages our expansion on this market. A major asset for our Moroccan portfolio, the Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca brings our presence to three cities together with those in Marrakech Tangier."

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is already present in 25 countries, with 81 hotels, hotel complexes and cruise ships. Its growth pipeline includes thirty or so properties in the future, including Mövenpick Hotel Marrakech.
