With the opening of Golden Tulip Westlands Nairobi, in Kenya, the hotel group is strengthening its development strategy on the continent, where 15 other properties are under development.
With 94 rooms, Golden Tulip Westlands Nairobi has several restaurants, spas, swimming pools and conference rooms. It joins the portfolio of Louvre Hotels Group in Sub-Saharan Africa that currently has 13 hotels for some 2,020 rooms. Its opening is thus part of the ongoing development of the brands Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip on the continent, following the launch of three properties in Addis-Abeba, in Ethiopia, and a hotel in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2015.
Sub-Saharan Africa is a key region for the international development of Louvre Hotels Group, which pans to open several other properties in the next few years, including fifteen in 2016. This will allow the group to double its presence in the area.
"The tourism sector is undergoing strong development in this region, particularly for business tourism. It is our goal to be able to accompany guests, particularly key accounts, wherever they need to go in Africa, with a quality hotel supply that meets all their needs," explains Alain Sebat, President Golden Tulip Francophone and Eastern Africa.
