The new developments will mostly concern the United States, with Le Méridien Tampa (130 rooms), Le Méridien Chicago (172 rooms), Le Méridien Indianapolis (99 rooms), Le Méridien New Orleans (410 rooms) and Le Méridien Charlotte. The brand is also about to triple its supply on the American continent since its takeover by Starwood in 2005.
Emerging markets are also part of the hotel group's development strategy, particularly in Asia with Le Méridien Dhaka (304 rooms) in Bangladesh, Le Méridien Suvarnablumi in Thailand, Le Méridien Ganghinagar (120 rooms), and Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar in India, Le Méridien Thimphu in Bhutan (78 rooms) and Le Méridien Jiaonan Resort in China.
